Overview
The Administration and Support Services Bureau oversees several of the department's divisions and the majority of the department's civilian staff. Units of this Bureau include: the Communications Division, which is a dispatch and 9-1-1 call center for many of the county's police and fire departments; the Office of Emergency Services, which coordinates county wide emergency and disaster responses; the Documentary Services Division which maintains and processes sheriff's records, warrants and civil processes; the Professional Standards Unit, which is responsible for the recruitment and hiring of staff and maintaining ongoing professional training and quality control standards.
