Bolinas Motorcycle Collision Fatality - Identity Released

The decedent has been positively identified as:

Mr. Aaron Clayton, a 45- year-old male from San Francisco, CA.

On Saturday, October 17, 2020 at approximately 10:07 A.M. it was reported to 9-1-1 a motor vehicle traffic collision with injuries occurred in west Marin County on State Highway 1- Shoreline Highway  near Olema Bolinas Road, in Bolinas.  First Responders were immediately dispatched to the scene and arrived shortly after to discover a subject down unresponsive and unconscious in the roadway, who had been operating a motorcycle prior to the collision, in addition to a small vegetation fire caused by the damaged vehicle.  For reasons unknown and which remain under investigation, the subject collided with another vehicle and he was ejected from the motorcycle to the roadway, sustaining traumatic injuries.  Resuscitative efforts were provided on the scene by First Responders in addition to civilians, who had on-viewed the collision.  Sadly, despite the efforts rendered, the subject failed to respond to the treatment and his death was pronounced on the scene by paramedics.

The decedent has been positively identified as:

Mr. Aaron Clayton, a 45- year-old male from San Francisco, CA.

A forensic post mortem examination and toxicology testing has been scheduled for later this week.  The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigation being completed by the California Highway Patrol - Marin Office and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division.  No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.  Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the California Highway Patrol - Marin Office.
