October 12th, 2016- A San Francisco man was arrested today after unlawfully entering an occupied home in the Greenbrae Boardwalk community. The man, identified as Ron Cowan, encountered the resident after entering the home through an unlocked door. Cowan fled the home and the resident called the Sheriff's Office to report the attempted burglary. With the assistance of the Central Marin Police Authority, Cowan was detained a short distance away on Redwood Highway. Cowan was subsequently arrested and booked at the Marin County Jail. At the time of his arrest Cowan was in possession of several pieces of property that did not belong to him. The investigation into the rightful owners of that property continues.
