Four Arrested After Armed Robbery in Strawberry

Large police response to armed robbery results in the arrest of four.

On March 8th, 2022, a little after 4pm, Deputies received a report of an armed robbery occurring at Mikes Camera Shop in Strawberry. A caller to our 911 Communications Center reported they were just robbed at gunpoint and reported a blue sedan leaving the scene with camera equipment taken from the store. A Mill Valley Police Officer heard the call being dispatched to our Deputies and was in the area. The Officer located the suspect vehicle as it was leaving the scene with four occupants. 

The Mill Valley Officer attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled. The vehicle crashed in the area of the Arco Gas Station located at 798 Redwood Highway Frontage Road in Mill Valley. All four occupants from the vehicle fled on foot.

All four occupants of the vehicle were eventually located, detained and arrested after fleeing from the vehicle with the assistance from our allied agencies. Two firearms were located in addition to the stolen camera equipment from the armed robbery. 

The following four individuals were arrested and booked:  

  • Matthew Dorsey, 21 years of age, Richmond, CA.
  • Willetta Fleming, 21 years of age, Richmond, CA. 
  • Kavante Andry, 18 years of age, Santa Clara, CA
  • A 17 year old Juvenile

The Mill Valley Police Department, Tiburon Police Department, a Novato Police Department K9 and the California Highway Patrol assisted with this incident.
