FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, the Coroner Division of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office responded to an open space area at the end of Fairway Drive in Novato to investigate the death a juvenile male. This decedent has been identified as:

• Edwin Josue Ramirez Guerra, age 17, resident of San Rafael

A forensic examination is scheduled for early next week. A cause of death will be pending toxicology and any additional testing deemed necessary for this investigation.

No further information regarding circumstances or type of injuries will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active investigation.
