Marin City Homicide Suspect

Suspect Joseph Montgomery, 34 year old black male, is still at large after incident at 79 Cole Drive in Marin City where shots were fired.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On May 10, 2015 at about 1:05am, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office received 911 calls of shots fired at 79 Cole Drive in Marin City. Deputies arrived on scene and located a victim who had been shot several times. The victim was transported by medical personnel to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased by doctors. 

During the course of the investigation, the suspect has been identified as Joseph Montgomery. Montgomery is a 34 year old black male from Marin City. Montgomery is further described as, 5’4” 150lbs. The firearm Montgomery used during the homicide is still outstanding, and Montgomery should be considered armed and dangerous. Detectives are currently working on an arrest warrant for Montgomery.

Montgomery has family living in Marin City, San Jose, Vallejo, and Santa Rosa. Montgomery has no known vehicles. 

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking witnesses to the homicide and is asking witnesses to please call the Investigations Division at 415-473-7265.
