Arrested: Sel Charvet Butler Jr., a 27 year old male, Marin City, CA.
On July 26th, 2022 Detectives from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sel Charvet Butler Jr. in connection with the Murder of Michael Arthur Rogers II in Marin City on July 24th, 2022. Butler was arrested at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and transported to the Marin County Jail on July 27th, 2022. Butler was booked into the Marin County Jail on the following charges:
187 PC – Murder.
245 (a)(1) PC – Assault with a deadly weapon.
246 PC – Shooting an inhabited dwelling/occupied vehicle.
29800(a)(1) PC – Felon in possession of a firearm.
This investigation is still active and no further information will be released at this time as to not compromise the integrity of the investigation. No booking photo will be released.
