Marin County Sheriff’s Office Participates in Countywide Human Trafficking Enforcement Operation Hosted by the San Rafael Police Department

To reduce incidences of human trafficking, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) joined the City of San Rafael Police Department (SRPD) in their operation focused on criminal enforcement of traffickers, and individuals soliciting juvenile victims. Resources were also dedicated to rescuing victims of human trafficking and offering them supportive services.

MCSO and SRPD personnel were supplemented by social workers from Community Violence Solutions; County staff from the County of Marin District Attorney’s Office and Probation Office; and law enforcement partners from Central Marin Police Department, Fairfax Police Department, the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center, Novato Police Department, and Sausalito Police Department.

Investigative steps taken prior to and during the operation culminated in the arrest of three adults and contact with a potential victim, who was provided with information and resources. The individuals arrested and booked at the Marin County Jail included Yefrin Deleon Gomez and Jose Capir Tucubal, both suspected of felony solicitation of a minor for lewd purposes in violation of 288.4(b) of the California Penal Code (PC). Jason Jermaine Wright Jr. was cited for misdemeanor supervising or aiding prostitution, a violation of 653.23 PC.
