Sleepy Hollow Death Investigation – Identities Released

The decedents have been positively identified as:

Dylan Curtis SCHWARZ, a 32-year-old male with no fixed address residing in the Mill Valley area.

Aidan Doyle MCWHINNEY, a 30-year-old female from Tiburon, CA.

On Friday, February 14th, 2020 around 0800 hours, Marin County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Firefighters from the Ross Valley Fire Department responded to the area of W. Oak Knoll in Sleepy Hollow for reports of two people located unresponsive and down in a driveway.  Upon arrival, it was determined the male and female were deceased.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office along with the Coroner Division completed a scene investigation regarding the circumstances surrounding the subject’s deaths.

Preliminary findings are suggestive the subject’s passing are related to illicit substance utilization.  No evidence of foul play and / or other suspicious circumstances were noted or suspected. 

The decedents have been positively identified as:

Dylan Curtis SCHWARZ, a 32-year-old male with no fixed address residing in the Mill Valley area.

Aidan Doyle MCWHINNEY, a 30-year-old female from Tiburon, CA.

A forensic post mortem examination and toxicology testing have been scheduled.  The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigation being completed by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office–Coroner Division.  No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.  Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
