Burglary Suspect Arrested

At 12:30am this morning, MCSO received a call from a resident of the Dutra Rock Quarry reporting that her house had been broken into and a rifle was missing.  Deputies investigated the crime and developed a lead on a possible suspect from evidence left behind in the house.  The area was searched but the suspect could not be found.  Around 5:45am this morning, a maintenance worker from the quarry called MCSO reporting that he saw the suspect near a group of houses on the property.  The groundskeeper also said the suspect was carrying a rifle.  Deputies responded to the area and with the help from the San Rafael Police Department, set up a perimeter.  MCSO Special Response Team and SRPD K-9 Faro were called to do methodical search of the property for the suspect.  The suspect was found hiding in a bedroom of one of the residences.  Rigoberto Aguilar, age 31, All Points, San Rafael was arrested for Burglary, Possession of stolen property, Stealing a vehicle, Felon in possession of a firearm, Felon in possession of ammunition and a Marin County warrant for Prowling.  Aguilar was booked into the Marin County Jail.  Aguilar is a suspect in prowling incident and a burglary incident that occurred in SRPD jurisdiction over the past several days.                                               Lt Steve de la O - Investigations Division S_Delao@MarinSheriff.org
