Identities of Novato fatalities released
On Monday, February 12, 2018, at approximately 0905 hours, a 9-1-1 call was received requesting the welfare check of two persons at 1520 Hill Road, Novato after relatives were unable to contact other family members. The Novato Police Department was requested and responded to the scene, entered the secured apartment and discovered two persons deceased inside the residence.
The decedents have been identified as follows:
1. Jacqueline Mirtala REALES, 31 years-old, resident of Novato
2. Jose Arturo REALES, 29-years-old, resident of Novato
The decedents were confirmed to be a married couple.
There is no evidence suggestive of other people being involved in this incident.
A post mortem examination and toxicology testing have been scheduled. The cause and manner of death will be pending toxicology results and the conclusion of the investigation by Novato Police Department. No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this in active and ongoing investigation. Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the Investigations Division of the Novato Police Department.
