Robbery Suspect Arrested

Today around 10:33 am Dispatch received a 911 call from Colonial Liquors on Sir Francis Drake Bl saying that an adult male at the apartment complex across the street (920 Sir Francis Drake) was yelling for help.  Deputies went to the apartment complex to find out that a robbery had occurred which involved the use of a firearm.  A newer black Dodge Challenger was seen fleeing the area.  A description of the vehicle was given to the surrounding agencies.  Deputy Rich Johnson, who is assigned to the Civil detail spotted a possible match driving northbound Highway 101 passing Gnoss Field 20 minutes after the initial 911 call.  He stopped the vehicle along the highway near the county line and detained the solo occupant of vehicle.  The victim identified the suspect and vehicle as being responsible for the robbery.  The victim stated he knew the suspect as a co-worker.   Property from the victim was located inside the suspect's vehicle.  A semi-automatic firearm was found near the victim’s apartment.  A records check of the firearm revealed it was reported stolen from the Sacramento area.  Daniel Xavier Rivas, Age 20 from Rohnert Park, CA. was booked into Jail for the listed charges:
