On April 20, 2023 at approximately 0830 hours, patrol Deputies were dispatched to an 'armed 211' (Robbery) at the intersection of Sir Francis Drake Blvd and La Cuesta Dr, Greenbrea.

The victim, who was sitting in their vehicle stopped at the red light was shocked when their vehicles rear window was shattered. A suspect was at the rear of the vehicle taking the victim’s belongings through the broken window. The victim quickly reacted and reversed their vehicle into the suspect. The suspect sustained injuries but ultimately got into the get-away vehicle and fled the area.

An investigation took place over the past three months, which consisted of several search warrants. We are thankful to our neighboring agencies who helped us identify these subjects (Berkeley PD, San Pablo PD and Contra Costa Probation). The robbery suspects were identified as Joseph Cardenas and David Cardenas out of San Pablo CA. Both suspects were arrested for their crimes.
