Aryan Rajesh SOLANKI, a 21-year-old male from Mill Valley, CA.
On Tuesday April 04, 2023, at approximately 12:33 PM it was reported to 9-1-1 a motor vehicle collision occurred near 75 Bellam Boulevard approaching Anderson Drive in San Rafael. Reportedly a 2014 Yamaha YZF R-1 motorcycle being operated southbound on Bellam Boulevard by the decedent collided with a 2014 Mercedes ML sport utility vehicle (SUV), which had been travelling northbound and was attempting to enter into a local business parking area. The Mercedes operator turned his vehicle left, crossing the southbound travel lanes into the motorcyclist’s path. The motorcyclist was unable to yield prior to striking the passenger side of the SUV, and was ejected from his bike, regrettably sustaining multiple traumatic injuries. First Responders were immediately dispatched to the scene and upon their arrival located the subject unconscious, unresponsive having sustained significant traumatic injuries. Paramedics provided extensive resuscitative aid and transported him emergently to an area hospital for additional medical care. Despite the medical care provided, the subject continued to decline and tragically passed away while in the hospital Emergency Department.

A forensic postmortem examination with routine toxicology testing is being completed later this morning. The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigations being completed by the San Rafael Police Department and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division. No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation. Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the San Rafael Police Department.
