The Administration and Support Services Bureau oversees several of the department’s divisions and the majority of the department’s civilian staff.

Units of this Bureau

Communications Division
Which is a dispatch and 9-1-1 call center for many of the county’s police and fire departments.

Coroner Division
Provides competent and timely law enforcement and scientific investigations into deaths occurring within the County of Marin.

Documentary Services Division
Which maintains and processes sheriff’s records, warrants and civil processes.

Professional Standards Unit
Which is responsible for the recruitment and hiring of staff and maintaining ongoing professional training and quality control standards.
