The Marin County Sheriff’s Office Records Division is the repository, retrieval and records management center for all of the booking records for Marin County and all official incident reports taken by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office for the County’s unincorporated area.
The Records Unit personnel process requests for information regarding incident reports and out-of-custody inmate inquiries for authorized governmental agencies, releases reports as allowed by law, issues “Good Conduct” letters, registers narcotic and arson offenders and provides a variety of other services for the law enforcement community of Marin County. Individual requests for information may be received by mail or fax, but must be picked-up in person.
