The Marin County Sheriff’s Office received a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cyber Tip line Report that there was a possible suspect soliciting, sharing and/or receiving nude photographs/videos of minors via a web based platform.
Through an extensive investigation, Detectives determined the activity was believed to be originating from a residence in Point Reyes, CA
Detectives identified Gutierrez as the suspect during their investigation and determined he was residing at a residence in Point Reyes, CA. On February 26th, 2020 Detectives served a search warrant at his residence and arrested Gutierrez. A preliminary investigation into his personal electronic devices revealed thousands of images and videos depicting obscene matter of minors.
The evidence seized in this case will undergo additional forensic examination. There is no indication that any of the images are victims from Marin County.
Gutierrez was booked into the Marin County Jail on the following charge:
311.11(A) PC – Possession of Obscene Material
His bail is set at $10,000 dollars.
No booking photograph or further information will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation while it continues.
