On November 3, 2020 around 1:01PM, our 911 Communications Center received multiple reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Drake Avenue in Marin City. 911 callers reported a man was shot in a parking lot.
Deputies arrived on-scene a short time later and located a male adult suffering from what appeared to be a gun shot. Deputies rendered medical aid to the victim until medical and fire resources arrived on scene. Deputies were assisted by the Tiburon Police Department, Sausalito Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where his condition is currently unknown.
Deputies and Detectives are currently on scene interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. No further information will be released at this time.
There are reports circulating that this shooting is related to the “Trump Caravan” on Sunday in Marin City. That information is incorrect and we have no information to believe the shooting is associated with the event.
