Burglary suspect arrested with help of video surveillance cameras

Suspect identified:

Rashaan Kyree Doran, age 23, Marin City, CA.

On August 13th, around 1:25 PM, Deputies received a call from a resident in the 100 block of Harvard Avenue in Tam Valley reporting a residential burglary that occurred sometime during the day. The resident reported entry was made into their house by shattering a window and multiple items were missing.

While reviewing the home video surveillance system on the victims residence, a Deputy was able to see the suspect vehicle and suspect in the area at the time of the burglary. Detectives were able to identify the suspect, Rashaan Doran, from the video surveillance footage.

A short time later, Deputies located the suspect vehicle in Marin City. Rashaan Doran was taken into custody nearby. Doran is currently out on bail on a pending case in Marin County.

Doran was booked into the Marin County Jail on the following charges:

  • 459 PC – Burglary
  • 12022.1(b) PC – Committing a felony while out on Bail
