During the early morning hours of July 13th, 2019 forced entry into Mike’s Bikes located at 1 Gate 6 Road in Sausalito was made. After entering the business, the subject stole multiple bicycles totaling more than $25,000 dollars.

After an overwhelming response based on news and social media coverage, we were able to identify the suspect as Joseph Anthony Hanania, 30 years old from Petaluma, CA. Our attempts to locate and arrest him have been unsuccessful. However, all of the bicycles from the burglary have been recovered from a storage unit in Sonoma County.

We believe Hanania may have changed his appearance and is possibly clean shaven. We believe he is driving a black 2001 GMC Sonoma with a gray utility style camper shell. The license plate for the vehicle is California: 62588V1

Hanania is known to frequent Sonoma and Marin Counties in addition to the Lake Tahoe region.
