Deceased Bodies Discovered Inside Marinwood Parked Vehicle – Identities Released

The decedent’s have been positively identified as:                                              

Harry Manus MARCELLUS, a 49-year-old male  reportedly with no fixed address, and previously from Cotati, CA.

Helethia AnnaMarie ROTH, a 26-year-old female reportedly with no fixed address, and previously from Cotati, CA.

On Sunday April 10, 2022, at approximately 11:23 AM, a Marin County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy on routine patrol located a parked vehicle in a secluded and normally not travelled area within Caltrans property in Marinwood on St. Vincent Drive.  The Deputy checked the vehicle and the welfare of the occupants seen inside.  He located two-persons obviously deceased.  At the time of this writing these cases remain under active investigation and information gathering is still being acquired.  Sheriff’s Deputies and the Coroner Investigator on the scene did not note any overt signs of traumatic injuries and / or suspicious circumstances on the subject’s during the scene investigation suggestive of foul play or a vehicle collision having taken place.  There is no threat to the community.

A forensic postmortem examination with toxicology testing is being Tuesday April 12, 2022. The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigations being completed by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office  and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division.  No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.  Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
