On Monday, November 05, 2018 the Marin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received a call from Helen Vine Detox Center, reporting that staff members had been shot. MCSO deputies arrived on the scene to find three people suffering from gunshot wounds.  Two victims were transported from the scene with life threatening injuries to Marin General Hospital.  Sadly, one victim succumbed to injuries he sustained and died at the scene.

The decedent has been positively identified as:        

Nathan Lamont HILL, a 52-year-old male from Vallejo, CA.

A forensic post mortem examination and toxicology testing have been scheduled for Wednesday, November 07, 2018.  The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigation being completed by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Investigations Division and this office.  No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.  Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office PIO, Sergeant Michael Brovelli (415-797-2340).
