Kentfield Stabbing Suspect Arrested

Arrested: Brian Jordan, 37 year old male, Corte Madera, CA.

Detectives with the Marin County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed Brian Jordan is in custody in San Francisco and awaiting extradition to Marin County. Jordan’s arrest comes after Detectives were able to determine a possible location for Jordan and coordinated with the San Francisco Police Department to take him into custody.

Jordan will be booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury and petty theft where he will be held on $100,000 bail.

Original Release Information: 

On July 19th, 2022 just before midnight, Deputies were dispatched to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of McAllister Avenue in Kentfield. Deputies arrived on scene a short time later and located a male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.   

The investigation has revealed the following: The victim went to leave a residence in the area and saw a person stealing items out of his vehicle. The suspect ran on foot and the victim gave chase. The victim called a friend and asked for help finding the suspect and did not immediately call 9-1-1. The victim and his friend located the suspect in the area. A fight ensued resulting in the victim being stabbed multiple times. The friend of the victim called 911 after the suspect ran away on foot.

This remains an active investigation. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office would encourage those who witness a crime to call 911 immediately. Our Deputies work around the clock in all areas of the County of Marin and are readily available to assist when emergencies occur.
