Missing Richardson Bay Mariner Located Deceased in Bay - Identity Released

The decedent has been positively identified as:                                                                           

Bruce Linwood ADAMS, a 59-year-old male from Mill Valley, CA.

On Friday April 16, 2021, family members and friends reported the subject missing from his boat, The Bristol, which was discovered in the Richardson Bay drifting with the motor on and nobody aboard the vessel.  Fearing the subject had fallen overboard from the vessel into the bay waters, an arduous search was conducted by the United States Coast Guard, First Responders and members of the public at large, which met with negative results.  On Sunday April 18, 2021, the subject was discovered unresponsive and unconscious in the aforementioned waters.  The subject was then transported by a private vessel to the Clipper Yacht Harbor where First Responders had been summoned to.  The subject was declared deceased without any resuscitative aid provided.

The decedent has been positively identified as:                                                                           

Bruce Linwood ADAMS, a 59-year-old male from Mill Valley, CA.

A forensic post-mortem examination with toxicology testing is scheduled for this morning.  The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigations being completed by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Investigations Division and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division.  No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.  Any further questions regarding the incident should be directed to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Investigations Division.
