Narcotics Dealer Arrested With Trove of Narcotics

Arrested: Cristian Diaz-Villatoro, a 29 year old male from Oakland, CA.

Over the last several months, our Specialized Investigative Unit (SIU) Detectives developed information that led them to believe a subject by the name of Cristian Diaz-Villatoro was selling crystal methamphetamine in the County of Marin.

An investigation was opened and an undercover SIU Detective contacted Diaz-Villatoro and arranged to purchase crystal methamphetamine from him. This transaction occurred in the city of San Rafael.  During the ensuing investigation, Diaz-Villatoro agreed to and sold more than 12 ounces of methamphetamine to the undercover SIU Detective. Diaz-Villatoro has prior arrests for narcotics related offenses.

The investigation into Diaz-Villatoro came to an end last night when Detectives arrested him in the city of San Rafael during a narcotics transaction. Diaz-Villatoro was found to be in possession of the following narcotics when he was arrested:

·       Approximately 2.57lbs of suspected fentanyl

·       Approximately 44 grams of suspected cocaine

·       Approximately 143 grams of suspected methamphetamine

·       Approximately 173 grams of suspected heroin

·       Approximately 30 suspected Xanax pills

·       Approximately 200 "M30" oxycodone pills

·       One functioning digital scale

Detectives also obtained a search warrant signed by a Marin County Judge authorizing the search of a residence in Oakland. Detectives located approximately $3,000 in US currency in the residence.

Diaz-Villatoro was booked into the Marin County Jail on the following charges:

11378 HS (4 counts), Possession of methamphetamine for sale

11379 HS (4 counts), Transport methamphetamine for sale

11351 HS, Possession of a controlled substance for sale

11351.5, Possession of cocaine for sale

11352 HS, Transport controlled substance for sale

Diaz-Villatoro is currently being held on $150,000 bail after a bail enhancement was obtained by Detectives due to the dangers posed to the community by his actions. The original bail for Diaz-Villatoro was $.01.

The Specialized Investigative Unit (SIU) takes a proactive approach to investigate narcotics related criminal activity within the County of Marin.
