After viewing the video from the Memphis Police Department, I am shocked, angry and frustrated.  While the officers are being held accountable and their consequences will be determined in a court of law, there is no doubt that their actions will impact Law Enforcement as a whole.

I want to make it clear that the Marin County Sheriff’s Office considers the actions of the police officers in Memphis to be against everything we believe. We will continue our hard work of making sure that everyone our personnel encounters is treated with decency and fairness.
