11/06/2022 – Mission Type: Assist Marin County Search and Rescue and National Parks with search for missing person.

The sUAS Team was requested to assist Marin County Search and Rescue and National Parks with a search for a missing person. The sUAS Team utilized two UAV’s to perform a search of a large area and was on site and still searching when the missing person was located in another area deceased.  

12/29/2022 – Mission Type: Assist the Fairfax Police Department and MCSO Special Response Team with a barricaded subject.

Offense: 245 PC ( Assault with a Deadly Weapon)

The sUAS Team was requested to assist the Fairfax Police Department and MCSO Special Response Team with a barricaded subject who was reported to have threatened a neighbor with a firearm and then barricade themselves in a residence. sUAS Team members utilized a UAV to provide overwatch of the residence where the subject was barricaded. The subject eventually surrendered and arrested. After the subject was arrested, a UAV was used to fly the interior of the residence to check for additional occupants.
