Emanuel - JIMENEZ ROMERO, a 21-year-old male from Santa Rosa. CA.
On Sunday July 07, 2024, at approximately 2:08 PM a vehicle collision with injuries was reported to 9-1-1, having occurred within the 16000 block of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. (SFD), between Pierce Point Road and Mount Vision Road, within Inverness. Reportedly the operator of a 2007 Yamaha YZF R6 sport motorcycle was travelling eastbound on SFD Blvd. at a high rate of speed, crossed over the double yellow striped divider lines to overtake / pass slower moving traffic, and collided head on with 2014 Honda Odyssey minivan travelling westbound at or near the posted speed limit. Upon impact, the operator of the motorcycle was ejected from his bike and sustained significant traumatic injuries as a result of the collision, coming to rest in the roadway unconscious and unresponsive. Medical aid was provided by bystanders until first responders arrived on the scene shortly after and provided resuscitative medical aid to the subject, who was determined to be in cardiopulmonary arrest. Despite all medical aid provided, the subject did not respond to the provided treatment and his death was pronounced on the scene at 2:34 PM.

A forensic postmortem examination with routine toxicology testing has been completed. The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigations being completed by the California Highway Patrol – Marin Office and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division. No further information will be released by the Coroner Division at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
